Synopsis: Nominated for four 1983 Tony Awards, 'night, Mother examines the bonds between parents and children, husbands and wives, and families in general, as it unfurls an exhilarating, nail-biting tale of drama and suspense. Middle-aged, depressive Jessie has made a decision that will affect her life, and that of her dependent, feisty mother, Thelma. As Jessie and Thelma discuss the ramifications of Jessie's impending actions, old wounds are opened and unasked questions finally get their answers. Haunting and unforgettable, 'night, Mother won the 1983 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for Marsha Norman (a Tony Award winner for 1990's The Secret Garden).
